In other words, do online clicks have a real effect and lead to more commitments (actual material support/action) or detract from real causes and pro-social activism? (Examples of material/pro-social activism are: voting, providing financial support/donation, protesting, writing to their congress(wo)men, etc.) 1) Briefly outline Pfeifle's (June, 2012) reasons why slacktivism works. 2) Briefly outline Bower's (June, 2014) reasons why more clicks may not translate to more support. 3) Pick one side and devote the majority of your post to developing what position you agree with and why.
