English and Literature Paper instructions: Even though literacy (reading and writing) is the key to academic success, it is not uncommon to find students in the upper elementary grades and at the secondary level who struggle with reading. If this the case, these students are at risk when it comes to learning content. To correct the situation, teachers at this level must first understand why these students struggle with reading. Why do you think students struggle with reading at this level? Armed with that information, what underlying question should drive the work/teaching at this level such that the students get the support needed.
