Environmental Analysis

Defend a particular point of view on an environmental, health, and/or energy issue related to chemistry and the concepts we have discussed in CHEM 121. You will support your point of view with relatively current (using sources published with past 10 years) scientific primary and secondary sources supporting your point of view. In addition to meeting the college writing essentials listed above, your position paper should meet the following grading criteria

CONTENT

1. All topics relate to concepts discussed in CHEM 121 and are discussed in clear detail
2. The author supports arguments and assertions correctly (by citing scientific research findings)
3. Ideas relate to concepts discussed in CHEM 121 and are themselves interrelated coherently and logically
4. The author creatively enhances the topic

ORGANIZATION

1. An introduction previews the main points related to the theme in chemistry
2. The body of the paper develops and elaborates on the main ideas related to chemistry
3. A conclusion summarizes the main points
