Order Description DQ1: Through an environmental analysis of your own specific Unit (wing, ward, section, department...) identify the value chain that this unit operates within. What are your main dependencies and deliverables? DQ2: Looking at the wider macro environment beyond that of your unit, what two or three main forces will shape the way your unit operates in the future? How can you prepare for these? DQ3: Recommend a Unit redesign that would better prepare it for the future, looking at issues such as centralization, the flexible firm, enhanced control mechanisms, and stronger knowledge flows. How does this differ from the existing structure?
