guidelines carefully:• Answer length: 4 to 5 pages per question (not including references, figures, tables, etc.); total length 12 to 15 pages (not including
references, figures, tables, etc.). <br />• Single integrated paper that answers all three questions. <br />• Use sub-headers to indicate which question you are
answering. <br />• Page layout: 1-inch margins on all sides, double spacing, page numbers at bottom center, 12-point Times New Roman font. <br />• References: use
American Journal of Public Health (i.e., AMA) style only. <br />• Personal identifiers: Your name must not appear anywhere in the document you submit. Projects and/or
published work that you have been involved with should be referred to in a manner that does not reveal your identity, to the extent possible (e.g., citing co-authors
et al.). <br />• Anonymous Numeric Identifier: you should have received an anonymous numeric identifier. Use this number as a header on each page of the exam. <br />•
The exam answers should be in a single MS Word document.<br />The First Examination is designed to show your mastery of the early Doctor of Public Health courses and
the core competencies of the DPH Program (see lists at end of exam). We are asking you to write a single 12-15 page paper (not including tables and references) that
demonstrates such mastery and addresses the points listed below. Your paper should be based on the articles listed below as well as course readings for the required
courses, other relevant readings, and your professional experiences. Your paper should answer each question clearly, with subheads that show readers which section
addresses which question. Write no more than 5 pages double-spaced (about 1,000 words) for each question. Each question counts equally. You must pass each question to
pass the exam.You are expected to refer to the following five papers to answer the 3 questions. The papers will be uploaded BUT the links to the papers are included in
the instructions word document titled 'DPH First Exam August 2017' *Provided with instructions and 3 exam questions are supporting documents such as: (These will be
uploaded or emailed to you to keep things organized) <br />1) 5 papers that the 3 questions exam refer to <br />2) Reading List/Sources from courses to be used for
citations <br />3) Background papers for Exam <br />4) Epidemiology Lectures Slides <br />5) First Exam Sample Paper that passed <br />6) Quantitative Research Methods
