Below is a list of four things that I think it’s helpful to know before getting into a Theory of Knowledge course.
As you read the document, please investigate some of the links about different topics in the Theory of
Knowledge which connect to indexes of relevant papers on Philpapers.org. Click on ones which seem like they
might be interesting to you. Read a little more. If you end up at a dead end which is not interesting to you, click
on a different link. Try to find at least 3 topics linked which seem interesting to you.
DIRECTIONS: Now, I want you to reflect on this question: Why are these questions important? Why might the
different answers we give to some fairly abstract questions about the nature of knowledge make a difference to
how people make decisions in society, or to how we resolve conflicts about topics in morality, law, medicine,
politics, religion, or economics?
