Ethnomethodology

      Based upon your reading concerning ethnomethodology, please address the following: 1) summarize the basic tenets that underpin the ethnomethodology viewpoint; and 2) explain and give an example of how "documentary interpretation" explains every day social life. Next, using what you have learned about ethnomethodology, observe a social setting and analyze your observations (observation should be at least 20 minutes). For example, you can visit a grocery store or observe interactions in a cafeteria. Briefly describe your observation and analyze it using the course readings and the ethnomethodology viewpoint, making sure to address social norms and communication.
