experiential/existential/humanistic Order Description   Evaluation Two—Theory (__points): Students will be assigned to one of four groups based on the forces of Psychology (psychoanalytic, behaviorism, experiential/existential/humanistic & post modern/feminism, ect.). Students will complete a four to six page discussion on a theory in the force of their assigned group. The theory can be developmental, psychological, or an evidence-based therapy model (i.e. Freud, Adler, Jung, Erikson, Linehan, ECT…). Students must demonstrate their understanding of the theory by outlining the main concepts, assumptions, and guiding values of the theory. Explain how they would apply that theory to their work with clients. Consider their scope of practice, cultural and demographic factors, the type of agencies you might be working at, and the types of problems clients might be dealing with. Students should provide examples of how the theory can be used to explain clients’ behavior, address problems, and guide their work in practical ways. For full credit the subject must be explored and discussed beyond surface level and include sources in addition to the text book. Remember to incorporate and cite information from the literature in APA format. Include personal opinions and professional analysis of the theory and identify these as their assertions. Essays should have a cover sheet and a reference page.
