Good Writing

  Good writing is difficult to define, and different professions and fields may define good (or effective) writing in different ways. We all seem to be able to recognize bad writing right away, but saying what makes a piece ofwriting good is not so easy. What kind ofwriting do you enjoy reading? Why do you enjoy it and what makes it "good"? How did you learn what good writing is? What are the elements of effective writing in the profession(s) you are interested in?
