As a member of the administrative team within a hospital, part of your job involves reviewing incident reports pertaining to events that have occurred within your facility and taking appropriate action in response to such
events.
For the Chapter 3 Discussion Assignment please consider the following incident:
“Shortly after Dr. Jones entered the operating room to perform surgery, the surgical technologist became
concerned after he witnessed multiple signs that the physician may be intoxicated.”
Ceate an original post describing your recommendations regarding the multiple appropriate actions that
should be taken, who should take these various actions, why these actions are necessary, and when these
actions should be taken. (Please keep in mind that several individuals of varying roles will be involved in this
process – beginning with the surgical technologist immediately upon witnessing the incident.)
