What is the healthy community framework according to Health in All Policies?
Health in All Policies is a way to bring people and groups together to increase the health of individuals. This shared approach brings individuals from across regions together to find ways to implement health concerns when making decisions on policy (“Health in All Policies”, 2013). These Policies ensure that policymakers stay abreast of health equity, sustainability consequences of different strategies and choices when making decisions on policy development processes (“Health in All Policies,” 2013). In addition, the Health in All Policies method helps identify health inequities, expensive health care costs, climate change, and chronic illness in many different sectors (“Health in All Policies,” 2013). Health in All Policies does not just identify challenges but is beneficial for generating employment and economic strength and security within areas.
How are evidence and ethics used in this process?
Partnership programs are used to gather evidence and ethics on Environmental Health. This program allows ethics committees to solve ethical issues. The program helps identify unequal burden borne by socioeconomically disadvantaged individuals who are exposed to high levels of environmental pollutions, occupational exposure, and other hazardous substances (Adler, 2004). Additional ethical processes involve surveying the resident’s points of view on local environmental issues, health training, and improve educational engagements that will meet local needs (Adler, 2004). The information that is compiled help policymakers, researchers, and implements ideas for Health in all Policies that will strengthen health equity and strive for stronger and efficient approaches to pursuing inter-sectoral action that will promote healthy and reasonable public policies (Shankardass et al., 2018)
