History and Philosophy of Science
History and Philosophy of Science
Order Description
Write in a clear, direct style. Avoid discursive footnotes. Make sure to have a solid overall argument. You need to formulate an argument in response to the question
and set this up in your introduction as well.
Topic:
Lakatos and Laudan claimed that ongoing competition between "research programs,"
or something similar, is a common feature of science. Scientists continually have to make
two kinds of choices: which research program to join, and how to advance the research
program they are working within. Compare this view to either Popper's or Kuhn's view,
with respect to some example from the history of science or present-day science.
provide you with some materials soon that you should, as much as possible try to cite in your arguments(they are excellent quality references). Feel free to add
references outside of the materials I have provided, ensuring that they are good quality textbooks/peer-reviewed journals/articles.
