2. Think carefully about the issues the authors raise in that article. Weigh their arguments against (a) what is taught about performance management in university courses like this one; (b) your own experiences as an employee on the receiving end of traditional performance appraisals; and (c) your own experiences with performance appraisal as an HR professional (if you have experience in this area).
3. Based on what you read and your evaluation of their ideas in light of what you have learned about performance appraisal in school and on the job, create your initial post in this forum as a short reaction paper. By “short” I mean 300-500 words. I’m looking for quality; quantity guidelines are only intended to suggest what seems necessary to achieve that goal. Keep in mind that it is possible write a long post that is bad and a short one that is good.
