Patient had noticed the lesion for several months and stated that it has steadily been growing. Patient states the she once caught it on a comb while she was combing her hair and it bleed for a while after that. Patient denied any fevers, chills, weight loss, pruitis, pain, or tenderness. An excisional biopsy was perform which showed Squamous Cell Carcinoma- Keratoacanthoma along with hyphae and spores in a majority of the hair follicles consistent with tine capitis (t. tonsurans). Biopsy showed that margins were free of malignancy and patient was started on econazole cream BID to affected area. case is interesting because of the secondary colonization ]
