Write a 700- to 1,050-word creative nonfiction essay, incorporating two or more of the following: character, dialogue, scene-setting, figurative language, diction, and sound or rhythm. Grammar and punctuation variations are acceptable if they serve the needs of the piece.
Write a 350- to 700-word reflection paper discussing the techniques you chose from the list provided above and the purpose they serve in your piece. In addition, contrast creative writing with academic writing with regard to role, structure, and other elements.
