        Provide responses to the following questions: Should the United States legalize marijuana in each of the fifty States. Would legalization of marijuana across the U.S. likely increase or decrease crime rates and/ or serve as a crime control strategy? Is the “War on Drugs” policy a failure? Would the government and the criminal justice system benefit from legalizing this drug? How does this relate to international issues concerning drug trafficking and cartel activity? What other measures (outside of legalization) could be implemented to address drug abuse, treatment, and punishment for marijuana use and distribution?
