My vision statement is: To empower my team to reach their full potential and maximize our collective success. Leadership competencies assessed from Weeks 1 and 2 include communication, motivation, delegation, trustworthiness and empathy. My five top leadership goals are as follows:
1. Communication: Developing clear and effective communication skills in order to facilitate efficient decision-making between myself and my team members. This includes actively listening to others’ ideas, being open to constructive criticism, providing timely feedback on project progress, asking meaningful questions during meetings, and avoiding misunderstandings or misinterpretations of instructions or expectations. 2. Motivation: Encouraging each individual on the team to take ownership of their work by recognizing accomplishments when due; setting achievable long-term goals for our collective efforts; offering voluntary rewards for successful projects/tasks; assigning challenging tasks that push everyone out of their comfort zone; minimizing micromanagement whenever possible; praising successes even when faced with failure; working collaboratively with the team instead of alone in an isolated manner. 3. Delegation: Assigning tasks based on each person's strengths while taking into consideration available resources so that no one feels overworked or overwhelmed by any given assignment(s). When delegating tasks I will remember that empowering people is important but I must also ensure quality control so every task is completed accurately and efficiently within a given time frame as agreed upon by all parties involved in the task at hand.. 4. Trustworthiness: Establishing trust among my teammates through actions such as keeping promises & commitments made during meetings & following through with them without fail; maintaining fairness & consistency amongst everyone regardless of experience level & job title; ensuring confidentiality amongst private information shared inside the workspace environment ;being transparent about decisions & activities taking place within our workplace environment ;being accountable for all mistakes made regardless if it was done directly or indirectly by me . 5. Empathy: Understanding how my decisions can affect the morale of other individuals & striking a balance between respect & results whilst leading those around me.; allowing openness between both teams and management including myself ;providing support systems like mental health days off when needed ;creating an inclusive working environment where any voices can be heard without judgement or prejudice . These goals contribute to my vision statement because they help create a strong foundation for which we can build upon in order to reach our collective potential together as a united group - working towards mutual success achieved through trustful relationships built on communication ,motivation ,delegation ,trustworthiness ,and empathy .
