Experienced speakers also know that listening effectively can help them interpret and perceive others more accurately. 1.In your initial post, describe in 200-250 words a time when you made a perceptual error and had a speech fall flat, or describe a time when effective listening and accurate perceptions made your speaking successful. Use the vocabulary from your readings to explain what happened and why, and include outside research for additional examples or explanation. Cite every outside source you use, including your readings. 2.After your initial post, read and respond to at least four of your peers’ postings. In your responses to others, suggest constructive ways that your classmate might use the information in the readings to prevent such a perceptual error from happening again, or how that classmate might better evaluate his or her audience in a future speaking situation.
