Background: We have discussed the concept of a literary lens, and we have discussed how both Addams and Oates use lenses in their works, "The Devil Baby at Hull House' and 'They All Just Went Away" respectively. Task: You will use Addams's work as a lens for Oates's work, or you will use Oates's work as a lens for Addams's work. In other words. you are writing an essay in which you analyze how Addams's work helps to heighten understanding of Oates's work or how Oates's work helps to heighten understanding of Addams's work. This document will refer to the text used as a lens as the lens text and to the other text as the text under study.
