Low staff morale

  We have been asked to do the following: 'Students will examine the role of leadership in the development of a service improvement programme within a defined area of practice. Students will select an appropriate quality improvement approach and examine the role of leadership and development of others to improve patient experience and outcomes'. The chosen area of improvement I originally chose was 'staff morale', as low staff morale was something I witnessed during one of my placements. Nursing staff had negative attitudes towards more senior members of staff and management, there also seemed to be a negative attitude towards the trust (NHS East Kent Universities Trust) and the trusts objectives, and there was low job satisfaction. This manifested itself into ways such as a high turnover of staff and reduced productivity. Please follow all the attached files to ensure this assignment is correctly carried out.
