Low staff morale

 

We have been asked to do the following: ‘Students will examine the role of leadership in the development of a service improvement programme within a defined area of practice. Students will select an appropriate quality improvement approach and examine the role of leadership and development of others to improve patient experience and outcomes’. I have attached all relevant documents you may needs, including assignment briefs etc. I have also attached an exampler paper, as I understand this not a usual type of paper you are used to writing. The chosen area of improvement I originally chose was ‘staff morale’, as low staff morale was something I witnessed during one of my placements. Nursing staff had negative attitudes towards more senior members of staff and management, there also seemed to be a negative attitude towards the trust (NHS East Kent Universities Trust) and the trusts objectives, and there was low job satisfaction. This manifested itself into ways such as a high turnover of staff and reduced productivity. Please follow all the attached files to ensure this assignment is correctly carried out.
