Management Research Order Description This assignment assesses the following learning outcomes derived from the module descriptor: • Formulate, justify, plan and structure a research proposal based on preliminary investigation of a suitable management issue. • Identify the purpose, main types and qualities of a credible undergraduate dissertation • Plan to meet the challenges of accessing organisations, data, ethics and managing research Assessment Requirement Assignment 2 You are required to submit a final year research proposal document (2000 words) that outlines the purpose of the project, the theoretical framework, preliminary literature review, research paradigm and methodology, sources of data, methods of collection and analysis, the expected timetable and outcome of the project. In week 10 or 11 you will be examined on your proposal by giving a presentation and answering questions on it. You will receive feedback at this session for this part and will be able to adjust, amend and improve your written submission during the remaining week available to maximise your final mark for this assessment Assessment Criteria: Students at this level will be assessed on their ability to: Formulate a convincing dissertation proposal with research questions or a hypothesis. Identify the limitations of the research proposed. Demonstrate a critical awareness of existing theory, previous research and their assumptions. Critically evaluate and justify their research paradigm, methodology, proposed sources of data, methods of collection and analysis. Produce a dissertation plan and timetable.
