Construct a Marx-style (or Momigny-style) hermeneutic analysis of the first movement of Beethoven’s Piano Sonata Op. 10/2. Your analysis may be, but does not have to be, specifically programmatic. Despite the “over the top” flavor of these authors’ prose, this type of analysis is very structured and draws on specific, even empirical, elements of the music.
