Mass casualty incidents

        Unfortunately, mass casualty incidents occur and can involve natural or man-made events. They include any incident in which the capabilities of emergency services are overwhelmed by the sheer number and severity of casualties (Madigan, 2017, p. 187). Select an example of an MCI and discuss what specific capabilities were overwhelmed. Also, incorporate what options emergency managers have for overcoming these challenges.
