Mental Capacity and Consents in health and social care Order Description Prepare and produce a case scenario of an individual patient with a particular mental illness/ disorder and analyse the law through the scenario. Example; Mrs X living with dementia requiring an operation for broken ribs, has she got the capacity to consent to the operation or not? (Capacity to consent recommended). Note: You are to analyse the law through your scenario / analyzing your scenario through the law Module Learning Outcomes ? The student will understand personal and professional accountability in a Health & Social Care setting. ? Understand the roles and responsibilities to protect the public and uphold the law in relation to equality and diversity. ? To understand the civil and criminal law and how they are applied in Health & Social Care.
