    You will be assigned one song to analyze from either the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, or Classical time period. You will identify and describe the song’s genre, time period, musical elements, and composer. Use previously learned vocabulary terms to analyze the musical piece. Consider all elements of music that you have learned up to this point: polyphonic/homophonic; Renaissance, Baroque, Classical eras; major and minor keys; dynamics (pp, p, mp, mf, f, ff); instrumentation (strings, winds, keyboards, voice, etc.). Also, think about the emotional aspects of listening to the music. Is it riveting, somber, joyous, powerful, mysterious, etc.?
