Modernity

Modernity focus on ANY work from the eighteenth century to the present in ANY medium. You must analyse the specific ways in which the work that you select engages with the problem of modernity in relation to the theoretical concerns and concepts discussed by 1) Charles Baudelaire "The Painter of Modern Life" AND 2) Giorgio Agamben"What is Contemporary". You must make your references to the 2 writers an INTEGRAL PART of your argument rather than a few random quotations tacked onto to the opening and conclusion. In addition to these writers, you must also use at least 3 scholarly sources (books or articles) concerning the work and artist whom you choose. These must be properly referenced in either MLA or Chicago style.
