myths We have seen that "myths" often functioned in early cultures as "distantly recalled memories" of actual events.  For example, the stories of the Minotaur, Atlantis, and the Trojan War have some basis in historical facts, even though the details are greatly changed.  In this assignment, you must present a story from your personal life or your family history that functions like a myth.  Discuss how this story has changed over time and how this personal myth is a "meaningful story" for you or your family.
