Name Search Order Description For this assignment you will choose a name for a business you would like to own one day. You will search your proposed name on Google, the State of Washington website (https://www.sos.wa.gov/corps/corps_search.aspx), and the Federal trademark website (TESS) (https://www.uspto.gov/trademark). Explain whether or not you would be able to use your chosen name based upon trademark law and why. You should also indicate what category of trademark your name falls under: arbitrary, fanciful, suggestive, descriptive or generic. Your paper should be in APA format, and contain a title page, reference page listing at least 3 sources, and at least two pages of content (double-spaced Times new Roman 12 point font with 1” margins). The goal is not to necessarily find a name you can use, but rather to show that you understand the analysis in choosing a name under trademark law.
