2003: The Connecticut women’s basketball team defeated Tennessee in the NCAA Championship, capping
their campaign with a 37-1 record (the Huskies’ lone setback of the 2002-03 season came against Villanova on
Tuesday, March 11, 2003.). Diana Taurasi was named the Most Outstanding Player while earning a spot on the
