Review Chapter 2, "Dynamic Model of Practice," pages 12-30. Using the readings and Internet Resources for this unit, consider the public management discourse described by Healy and the work of organizations such as SWAN, that oppose "managerialism" and promote collective movements for change. What opportunities and threats might exist in organizations that focus on public management discourse? Think of the rhetoric regarding the replacement of the Affordable Care Act. How might a collective movement impact the future of the changes being considered?
