NGO's in International Law

NGO's in International Law Order Description   Here are some guidelines on my thesis NGOs (non profit) in International Law Abstract: With the rapid growth of the Non-state actors (NSA’s) (especially Non-governmental organizations (NGO’s)) and their great influence not only on the domestic governance of a state but also in the international law creation, yet the international community fails to find a mechanism to monitor the NGO’s and restrict their roles to their duties only. Others may argue that the international fora should be non-restrictive to the NGOs. This paper aims to question these two extremes; the directions towards a non-restrictive approach to NGOs or delimitation of the NGO’s roles in law creations. Before getting to the conclusion, the paper will give an overview of the history of the NGO’s creation and some statistics of the number of NGO’s now comparing to post World War II. Then, I would define the NGO’s and its types to better understand them. In the paper, the question of legal personality of NGOs will be tackled and their rights and obligations. The paper will also explain the role of NSA’s in international law making; whether it’s by norm creations or/and by law making (soft or hard) or/and monitory and compliance mechanisms with International law and peaceful settlements of disputes.
