Operational and Project Management Order Description ASSIGNMENT QUESTION interim assignment brief assesses students on the project management component of the module. You are required to work in pairs with one other student in your class to deliver what is required below. In your pairs, you will select a project management framework mandated by organisations, chartered bodies or governments such as PMI, PRINCE2 and APM. While we will make most reference to the process-based PRINCE2 method during module delivery, both PMI and APM will also be covered in class and all these bodies require project managers to be knowledgeable about the concepts and deliverables defined in the scope of this assignment. Scenario You are responsible for the planning, implementation and development of a major new corporate project. In this requirement, there are two high level project roles available. You will agree between you one person for each role as follows: ? Chief Operating Officer (COO) as project sponsor; ? Project Manager Once you agree your roles, you will work together and have collective responsibility for your assignment submission. Choose one of the following business development opportunities: ? International expansion of a food and drink delivery business Your team is required to develop the following foundational project artefacts: ? The business case ? The Project Initiation Document (PID) You will be provided with project templates, separate to this assignment brief, that are used in project development in the real world. Each template has ten sections that you are required to complete and which are worth ten marks each. Your final mark will represent an average of both documents (Business Case + PID/2).
