Persuasion

        Persuasion is a fundamental skill. In this assignment, we will explore persuasion in your everyday life. Exploring persuasive topics can often mean investigating opinions and ideas that are different from your own. Remember to remain thoughtful and respectful towards your peers and instructor in your discussion post and replies. Create one initial post and follow up with at least two response posts. For your initial post, address the following: Introduce yourself to the class. Include your major and anything you would like to share. Think about a time in your life when you tried to persuade someone to do something. Keep in mind that this situation does not have to be a full-blown argument—it can be something as simple as convincing a friend to go to a specific restaurant for lunch—and it does not have to be a situation where you "won" the other person over. Explain what strategies you used for persuading.
