Pilgrimage is not unique to Islam nor is it unique to religious life. The concept of secular pilgrimage exists, in that it is considered human nature to desire to make a journey to some geographical area, which we prepare for (monetarily, spiritually or physically). Once we get there we follow certain rituals that are associated with the place and after which we feel somehow changed.

Describe your pilgrimage: where you have gone (or would like to go) why you would/did you go there? At what cost? What would/did you do once you got there? And how did/would you change after the experience?
