Sample Solution

My opinion on planning by professional planners versus operational managers is that both are equally important aspects of a successful organization. Professional planners provide the necessary structure and framework for an organization’s plans, while operational managers help execute those plans in a convenient and efficient manner. Both roles require expertise, knowledge, and experience in order to be effective at what they do.
I recently worked with a company where the professional planners created an ambitious plan for expanding their services into new markets. The plan was well thought out and had the potential to bring about a lot of growth for the company if executed correctly. However, this plan lacked direction from experienced operational managers who could analyze how best to incorporate their strategy into existing processes and operations. Because of this lack of input from operational managers, there were many delays in implementation or missteps taken along the way that ultimately hindered our progress towards achieving our goal. As such, I believe it is critical for organizations to involve both professional planners and operational managers in their planning process in order to ensure success. Professional planners should be responsible for creating comprehensive long-term plans that take into consideration all possible factors that may come up during implementation, while operational managers should guide those plans through execution by providing insights on which strategies will work best within current operations as well as suggestions on how small adjustments can increase efficiency over time. Working together with shared ideas from each party allows greater flexibility when implementing changes as well as more accurate budgeting since everyone has clear expectations going forward. In summary, I think it is essential for an organization’s success to involve both professionals planners and operational managers when planning any major initiatives or projects. People who should be involved include executive leadership from top management positions such as CEO & CFOs; department heads & team leaders; Human Resources representatives; IT personnel; marketing experts & sales directors; accountants; finance specialists; legal advisors; external consultants & vendors; stakeholders representing different parts of the community (including customers); etc… All these members must coordinate efficiently in order to craft precise strategies that fulfill all goals without sacrificing profitability or quality standards at any point along the way
