Poverty Paper details: The text identifies six common myths about the poor. Outline these myths and the data that refute them. Are there any other myths you would add? If so, which ones and why? When answering this question, look at how our socialization leads us to accept various myths about the poor as facts. What psychological and social factors are at work here? What myths did you think were true? Did your research cause you to reexamine your beliefs? When constructing your presentation, be sure to add material from sources other than class material. Research and support your arguments with information gathered in your research.
