This assignment is problem solution paper in which students will explore a problem facing military members, veterans, or their families and provide a solution. The paper should be between 8 and 10 pages. Written paper must include citations according to APA style. The paper must use 12-point font, Times New Roman, double-spaced. Content (70%): Requirements: 1. Provide a literature review of the problem that clearly shows how your new problem will solve it (two to three pages). **Identify the problem, discuss what’s going on, the introduce the solution briefly 2. Discuss at least one current policy or program that addresses this problem and why it is or is not effective (one to two pages). 3. Examine issues of diversity, gender, race, and ethics in terms of the problem and possible solutions (one page). 4. From the literature review, develop a list of criteria that a new program or policy must address (one page). 5. Provide a solution either a new policy or program that would meet the criteria established in prompt 3 (one page). 6. Critically analyze the solution (one to two pages). **How will the solution be evaluated? How will we get the leadership to support this solution? 7. Discuss future areas for research or changes that need to be considered (half a page). 8. Included citations from scholarly sources (minimum of 10 sources—three must be readings that are not contained in the syllabus.) BOLD THE OUTSIDE READINGS IN THE REFERENCE LIST.
