Proposal writing process.

It is always a bit daunting to try and capture something complicated in one succinct sentence or phrase so it took quite a bit of work for me to tighten up my concept into something which could guide me through the entirety of my research. On the other hand, I found formulating an effective literature review much easier. Despite being relatively new to scholarly reading on the subject matter, I had prior experience with the conventions behind constructing good reviews from past classes and projects. This gave me valuable insight into how best approach analyzing relevant materials as well as understanding what would make an effective synthesis argument that related back to my overall hypothesis or thesis statement. At this point, I do not see myself continuing this particular project into further study such as a doctoral dissertation or thesis; however, I will certainly apply many of these skills towards future endeavors in different fields if opportunities arise in them down the line. Overall, this assignment taught me the importance of setting concrete boundaries around any kind of inquiry-based activity while still allowing plenty room for exploration within those bounds. Additionally, it provided some helpful practice in thinking critically about academic concepts along with breaking down complex thoughts into more manageable chunks or sections that can be addressed individually before attempting larger units like individual chapters or whole papers at once.

  The proposal writing process was an intriguing and challenging endeavor for me. One of the areas I found most difficult was defining a suitable research problem and question that, while interesting to me, would also be meaningful enough to hold the attention of my audience through my entire proposed project.
