Racial disparity

  Explain why racial disparity in sentencing does not necessarily signal the presence of racial discrimination in sentencing. Discuss and evaluate the conclusions of recent reviews of research investigating the effects of race/ethnicity on sentencing and explain how research in this area has evolved over time. (3 - 4 pages, Time New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced). Two scholarly journal articles should be included as references.
