Students are required to search databases relating to regulatory bodies and professional associations in medical radiations. A review of Australian registration standards and professional association aims and objectives should be considered. Reference to similarities and/or points of departure between the Australian authorities and those of international agencies may be included. ?The review will note commonalities, topics that differ, and the association between regulation and the role of professional associations. The assignment will provide evidence of understanding these different roles, and bring forth a discussion as to the need, or not, for both groups in Australia. The impact of these authorities on the workplace and a professional’s working practice will be noted. The assignment must be appropriately referenced.
