Reflect on your role at your current or former workplace. Are you able to provide input when decisions are made? Do you have a formal or informal avenue to provide suggestions?

Sample Solution

At my current workplace I am able to provide input when decisions are made. My role is that of a consultant and as such, I have the privilege of being consulted on various matters by my employers, allowing me to express my opinions and make suggestions. This is especially beneficial in cases where I have expertise in particular areas as it gives me an opportunity to help shape the outcome of projects or tasks that may require such expertise.
The way this works is quite informal; usually I am contacted via email or phone to get my opinion or suggestion on certain items, which allows me to give feedback without having any formal process in place. For example, if there’s a project that requires specific insights from myself due to my background knowledge, then they will reach out and ask for input before coming up with any solutions. In this sense, it’s very informal but still valuable feedback nonetheless – an unstructured approach which encourages collaboration and open dialogue between all parties involved. In addition to providing input through informal channels like emails and phone calls, I also often get asked for feedback during meetings. These meetings can be either one-on-one conversations with managers or larger gatherings attended by multiple stakeholders from different departments within our organization – but regardless of their size or scope, these meetings allow us all to contribute our ideas and discuss them together until we come up with a solution that satisfies everyone’s needs. Finally, another way for me to provide input at work is through surveys or other forms of data collection tools used by our company for research purposes. Whenever there are new initiatives requiring stakeholder input or customer feedback surveys being conducted internally at the company level then we are typically asked if we would like participate so that our own thoughts can be taken into account when forming strategies around those initiatives/projects moving forward. Overall then while there isn’t necessarily a “formal avenue” per se when it comes providing suggestions at work - since most things operate on an ad hoc basis - there definitely exists plenty of opportunities for employees (like myself) who want their voices heard so that meaningful changes can be implemented throughout the business more quickly and efficiently using collective intelligence from all team members alike!
