At the end of unit 1, complete a GO OFF in which you go off on a key concept associated with that unit. First, you will need to clearly discuss how that concept is approached or understood by two or more of the rhetoricians we have discussed in class. This means you’ll need to follow a claims, evidence, analysis format where each time you make a claim, you provide textual evidence (from the text itself, not from other people analyzing the text, such as the textbook editors), and lastly, you’ll need to provide analysis which shows me how the evidence you chose supports your claim. After showing me you understand multiple approaches to your topic, go off on that concept. Why does it matter? Why is it a meaningful concept today?
