Scholarship Application Essay When working in and with groups of individuals, it often is difficult to reach a compromise on decisions. Some individuals simply won’t budge, continuing to say “no” to the group’s carefully reasoned and reasonable compromise solutions. Describe a situation in which you attempted to reach a compromise on a matter you felt was significant; how you exercised leadership; what you learned from the experience; and what you might do differently in future situations where you faced similar challenges.
