SCHOOL LEADERS RESEARCH

SCHOOL LEADERS RESEARCH select a contextually relevant piece of published research about school leadership under one of the following themes: 1. The role of the principal and school leaders in school improvement 2. Empowering schools 3. Leadership preparation This assignment requires students to critically analyse their chosen piece of research using the framework provided in the key reading by Eacott (2011). Students are to: i. critically analyse their chosen research in terms of the literature base; methodology; purpose; assumptions; and findings. ii. analyse the impact of the research on practice in the school system. Students are encouraged to draw from their own professional or personal experiences (and interests) in the school system to help them select their piece of research for this assignment.
