Order Description
Service Learning (25 points) The purpose of this assignment is for you to engage in a transformation of consciousness through civic learning, personal growth, and
academic enhancement. Students will be involved in a service learning project based on community partners identified by the students or by the professor. As you
immerse yourself in the readings, identify what type of service you might be able to provide to an agency or organization. The project will be evaluated on
completeness and appropriateness of the interpersonal skills, process, and content, as well as the quality of the reflective analysis regarding the consultative and/
or collaborative process.
This criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeArticulate Learning:
• How does the volunteering at homeless shelter connected to understanding human development?
• What did you learn,
Ex. Compassion, empathy, gratitude, etc…..
• How did you learn them??
• Why is it important ???
• Reflective analysis regarding the volunteering process – Evaluate the experience.

• Explain a connection to (at least two) theorists, Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, and Erik Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development, and your experience at the
homeless shelter.
