If a majority votes “yes,” then that labor organization will become representatives for all workers who voted yes in negotiations and bargaining sessions with management over wages, benefits, hours worked, and other job-related issues. The NLRB can also certify exclusive representation by that labor organization for all matters pertaining to employment at that company as long as there are no challenges from other labor organizations during an appeal period following certification.
