Social Constructions of Reality (SOCIALOGY)

  The interesting thing about the social construction of reality is that its meanings change overtime. What is common knowledge to one generation or culture might be completely foreign to another generation or culture. For this week's discussion identify an element of common knowledge that exists in a culture or generation other than your own. Explain how and why this aspect of common knowledge exists and how it ties into the social construction of reality. Be sure to integrate the points in your post with ideas of at least one of the social theorists from this week's readings.
