Social Science research methods
Description:
The discipline of psychology often uses the classical experimental design as its
research methodology- First, based on you readings this week, explain the elements
of the classical experimental design- is this design especially useful in dealing with
causal relationships? If yes, why? If not, why not?
How useful is a classical experimental design in studying real world situations? explain with an example-
Because an experimental design is not always appropriate in psychological research,
psychologists find themselves sometimes using a quasi-experimental design or a
correlational design- Define these other two types of designs and tell us when they are
used- Give examples of each-
