Something New

  Read the associated chapters, articles and watch the associated films/series. I suggest starting in the order of which the films are listed above. Each screening has a set of questions that relate to cultural stereotypes in the media. Respond to all the questions within your four page paper. The four page paper is due Monday, November 28, 2022 at 11:59pm. Read the articles Racing in America 1.    Identify any stereotypes that you may have noticed throughout the films/series.  Consider, are all cultural stereotypes necessarily negative? 2.    Are these stereotypes common in media across the Black Diaspora?  Do you think the portrayal of Blacks in the media has evolved?  If so, how?
