Choose one of the following discussion topics, responding to the specific questions as best you can be based on your current knowledge and observations. You should try to support or explain your conclusions or opinions, and indicate what an opposing point of view might be (or why a person might have an opposing point of view). Any outside sources of information or opinions should be cited. General grading guidelines for discussion questions and essays are appended to the course syllabus.
